O'Deer Lakeside Wellness Retreat
Booking terms and guest agreement

Welcome to O'Deer Lakeside Wellness Retreat.

Nestled on the shores of beautiful Lake Eildon, O'Deer offers an intimate wellness experience designed for just seven retreat guests. Our small group size allows us to create a personalised, peaceful and supportive environment where every guest can truly unwind, reconnect and restore.

To ensure every guest enjoys this experience, we kindly ask that you read and agree to the following Terms & Conditions before confirming your booking.

Our Wellness Philosophy

O'Deer is a place to slow down, disconnect from the demands of everyday life and reconnect with yourself.

To preserve the peaceful atmosphere for everyone, we ask guests to respect our wellness philosophy throughout their stay.

Accordingly:

  • O'Deer is a smoke-free and vape-free retreat.

  • Alcohol and recreational drugs are not permitted anywhere on the property.

  • Outside food and caffeinated beverages are discouraged unless required for medical or dietary reasons and discussed with us before arrival.

  • We encourage guests to minimise mobile phone use in shared spaces so everyone can enjoy a calm and relaxing environment.

Guests whose behaviour is disruptive, disrespectful or compromises the safety or wellbeing of others may be asked to leave the retreat without refund.

Booking & Payments

A non-refundable deposit of $500 is required to secure your reservation.

The remaining balance is payable 30 days prior to your retreat commencement date.

Bookings made within 30 days of arrival require full payment at the time of booking.

Any additional purchases made during your stay must be settled before departure.

Cancellation

Because every O'Deer retreat is intentionally limited to only seven guests, each reservation is significant. Last-minute cancellations are often impossible to replace.

For this reason, the following policy applies:

  • Within 14 days of arrival, non-arrival or early departure: 100% of the retreat fee applies.

A 72-hour cooling-off period applies to all bookings. If you cancel within 72 hours of making your reservation (and your retreat is more than 30 days away), you will receive a full refund.

We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance to protect against illness, injury or other unexpected circumstances.

Arrival

Check-in on Friday is between 2.00 pm and 4.30 pm.

Our retreats begin together, and timely arrival allows every guest to fully participate in the welcome experience.

Late arrivals may miss important activities and cannot always be accommodated.

Health & Wellbeing

O'Deer is a wellness retreat and is not a medical or mental health facility.

Guests are responsible for ensuring they are physically able to participate in retreat activities.

Before arrival, guests must advise us of:

  • medical conditions

  • injuries

  • allergies

  • dietary requirements

  • mobility concerns

  • pregnancy

  • any other circumstance that may affect their participation.

Guests requiring prescription medications, including EpiPens, are responsible for bringing and administering their own medication.

If you feel unwell before travelling, we encourage you to seek advice from your healthcare professional before attending the retreat.

The nearest hospital is approximately 30 minutes away. In the event of an emergency, ambulance services will be contacted immediately.

Participation

Retreat activities including yoga, meditation, breathwork, guided walks, wellness workshops and other experiences are entirely voluntary.

Guests are encouraged to listen to their bodies and participate only to the extent they feel comfortable.

Participation is undertaken at each guest's own risk.

Water Safety

O'Deer Lakeside Wellness Retreat enjoys a unique waterfront setting on Lake Eildon.

Guests acknowledge that natural waterways involve inherent risks.

Swimming and access to the lake, shoreline, jetty and surrounding waterfront areas are entirely at the guest's own risk.

There are no lifeguards or water safety personnel on duty.

Guests should exercise caution at all times around the water, particularly during changing weather conditions.

O'Deer Lakeside Wellness Retreat accepts no responsibility for injury, loss or damage arising from the use of the lake or waterfront areas, except where liability cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.

Personal Belongings

Guests are responsible for their personal belongings throughout their stay.

While every care is taken, O'Deer accepts no responsibility for loss, theft or damage to personal property.

Respect for Others

Our retreats are intentionally intimate and designed to foster a safe, welcoming and supportive environment.

We ask every guest to treat fellow retreat guests, facilitators and staff with kindness, courtesy and respect.

We also ask guests to respect one another's privacy and obtain permission before photographing or filming other guests.

Behaviour that is abusive, intimidating or disruptive to the retreat experience may result in immediate removal without refund.

Unexpected Events Beyond Our Control

While every effort will be made to deliver each retreat as advertised, circumstances beyond our reasonable control may require changes or postponement.

These may include, but are not limited to:

  • bushfires or emergency fire conditions

  • severe weather

  • road closures

  • power or water outages

  • government restrictions

  • public health emergencies

  • facilitator illness

  • or any other event beyond our reasonable control.

Should this occur, O'Deer reserves the right to modify the retreat program, substitute facilitators, postpone the retreat or reschedule it to a future date.

Where a retreat cannot proceed due to these circumstances, guests will be offered a transfer to a future retreat. Refunds will be provided where required under Australian Consumer Law.

Liability

Guests acknowledge that participation in wellness activities and staying on a waterfront property involves inherent risks.

By attending the retreat, guests accept responsibility for their own health, wellbeing and personal safety.

To the fullest extent permitted by Australian law, O'Deer Lakeside Wellness Retreat, its owners, employees and contractors are not liable for injury, illness, loss, damage or expense arising from participation in retreat activities or use of the property, except where liability cannot legally be excluded.

Changes to These Terms

These Terms & Conditions may be updated from time to time.

The version in effect at the time your booking is confirmed will apply to your reservation.

By confirming your booking, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
